Onde Mediterranee is a musical journey through southern Europe and the Mediterranean by the New Project Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Renzo Vigagni. Twelve pieces evoke landscapes, dances and communities along an imaginary voyage, including quotations from Canto XXVI of Dante's Inferno. Violinist Stefan Milenković is the special guest on tracks 1 and 12. The closing piece, Oltre il sogno, is dedicated to journalist Ilaria Alpi.

Recording and mastering

Recorded on 20–21 December 1999 at the Teatro A. Rosmini, Rovereto, Italy. The original technical notes distinguish six multitrack channels recorded at 96 kHz / 24 bit through Prism Sound converters from sixteen recorded at 48 kHz / 24 bit using Tascam DA-78HR. The resulting mix and master were prepared at 96 kHz / 24 bit on Sonic Solutions, so the individual original tracks did not all share the same sample rate.
