Massimo Parente leads a trio with Vincenzo Maccuro on double bass and Pippo Ark d’Ambrosio on drums. His Steinway & Sons D274 grand piano is at the centre of Interlude, pairing Pipa's Tobacco, Song for My Sons and Titti's Song with Comrade Conrad, Elsa, Nature Boy and Raiders of the Lost Ark, arranged for piano, bass and drums. Recorded live in the studio in October 2004, the album brings melody, harmony and rhythm into conversation within the piano-trio setting.
