KD - JAZZ

KD pays tribute to trumpeter and composer Kenny Dorham through eight of his compositions, reinterpreted by a pianoless quartet. Lorenzo De Luca on saxophone, Marcello Abate on guitar, Martino De Franceschi on double bass and Marco Soldà on drums revisit bebop and hard bop with a contemporary sensibility. The programme includes Lotus Blossom, La Mesha, Sunset and Blues Elegante. The project was supported by Progetto LPM, a private patronage initiative for promising young musicians from Veneto conservatories.
