II - Fiorentino, Quartarone

II brings Umberto Fiorentino and Claudio Quartarone together in a conversation between archtop jazz guitar and classical guitar. Following Anamorfosi, the two composers and improvisers present eight originals that explore blues forms, counterpoint and spontaneous interplay. Some pieces include loops created from percussive sounds played on the guitars themselves.

Recording and production

Recorded in May 2022 at Nightingale Studios, Palombara Sabina, near Rome. Mixed and mastered on 15–16 February 2023 by Lorenzo Vella. The album was presented at High End Munich 2023. This LP is a separate physical edition from the label's master-tape copies.
