RESTLESS SPIRITS - Roberto Magris

Restless Spirits presents music by Roberto Magris arranged for the Big Band Ritmo-Sinfonica Città di Verona, conducted by Marco Pasetto. Its large brass and reed sections bring together blues, swing, funk and Afro-jazz colours. Guest performers include Magris on piano and Fender Rhodes, Massimo Greco on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Sbibu on percussion. Eight compositions appear across nine tracks, with an alternate take of Ambiguous closing the programme.

Recorded in September 2008 at the Teatro Martinelli, Castelnuovo del Garda, near Verona, using the theatre's acoustic characteristics. The JBC edition is offered as an 88.2 kHz / 24-bit WAV file. Historical catalogue notes conflict about the analogue or digital source used for a later remaster, so the master is not asserted to derive from analogue tape without further documentation.
