Music, editions and recording details

The Metronomes mark thirty years together with a collection that combines four new recordings from 2024 with selections from the trio's history, reaching back to 1997. 30 anni fuori tempo celebrates the swing, humour and repertoire of Francesco Michielin, Carlo Piccoli and Stefano Fedato. The LP condenses the story into ten tracks, while the Gold CD presents a broader 21-track anthology, including guests documented on the original releases. New and archival recordings are clearly distinguished in the tracklists and notes.

Recording and mastering

The four new pieces were recorded on 8 October 2024 at Magister Recording Area, Preganziol, Italy, using analogue and high-resolution digital techniques by Andrea Valfrè. Analogue mixing and mastering by Marco Lincetto at VLS Studio, Náquera, Spain, on 1 November 2024. Earlier tracks derive from different releases: Jumpin' with Metronomes (1997), Radio Days (2000), Ciao Fred! (2005) and Adamo, Let's Swing (2011). The archive material was remixed and remastered in the analogue domain for this edition.
