Sing Without Words brings together four individual jazz voices: Paolo Birro on piano, Kyle Gregory on trumpet and flugelhorn, Salvatore Maiore on double bass and Roberto Dani on drums. Recorded at Castelfranco Veneto's Teatro Accademico, the quartet explores lyrical themes, original compositions and collective improvisation. The album concludes with the three consecutive parts of Three Sudden Movements, each a separate track rather than a repeated title.

Recording and mastering

Original 96 kHz / 24-bit digital recording, made live in studio in December 2000 at the Teatro Accademico, Castelfranco Veneto, near Treviso, Italy. Released by Velut Luna in 2001. The theatre's acoustic contributes to the quartet's spacious sound.
