ROOTS - Pietro Ballestrero Achille Succi

On Roots, guitarist Pietro Ballestrero and bass clarinettist Achille Succi explore a dialogue in which either instrument can become the melodic voice, harmonic support or rhythmic engine. Their programme moves between original compositions, jazz improvisation and counterpoint, including interpretations of Radiohead's Paranoid Android and Nick Cave's Into My Arms. The live-in-studio recording preserves the immediacy of their musical interaction.
