PETITES SUITES - FABIO FRANCO & JEREMY NORRIS TRIO

Fabio Franco's flute joins pianist-composer Jeremy Norris and a jazz rhythm section in two original suites poised between jazz, chamber music and contemporary composition. Carefully shaped themes open naturally into improvisation.

Two suites between jazz and chamber music

Jeremy Norris dedicated his Petites Suites to Giusto Pio and Claude Bolling, whose musical example helped inspire them. Lyricism, swing, polyphony and solo passages flow across the two programmes; an alternate take of Déjà vu completes the album.
