Music, editions and recording details
A trio without a chordal instrument invites listeners into Venetian scenes, open melodies and improvisation. Saxophonist Pietro Tonolo, bassist and cellist Henning Sieverts, and drummer-percussionist Roberto Dani weave their acoustic colours through fifteen compositions.
A suite for Venice
The seven-part Suite per Venezia takes in Campo Santa Margherita, Via Garibaldi and Santa Croce degli Armeni, as well as everyday details such as a bitter spritz and a break at La Fenice. Eight further original pieces complete the programme.
