Music, editions and recording details

Originally released in 1974, Lassa stà la me creatura combines folk traditions from Lazio with experimental arrangements, progressive rock and jazz improvisation. Canzoniere del Lazio transforms traditional dances and songs into eight vivid musical episodes.

From folk music to experimentation

Violin, accordion, wind instruments, guitars and percussion are combined with open-ended ensemble writing. Antidoto (alla tarantola), Processione, songs from Barbarano and two saltarello dances illustrate the group's distinctive approach beyond conventional genres.
