Music, editions and recording details

Marco Strano’s saxophones and flute lead a quartet with an urban character, driven by insistent rhythms and dialogue with piano and keyboards. Bruno Cesselli, Federico Malaman and Massimo Manzi shape the leader’s compositions and arrangements through acoustic and electric colours. Paola Casula joins them on Saraband. Five Portraits brings Strano’s compositional work and instrumental voice together in an original Sintax 4th project.
