Music, editions and recording details

Paolo Birro on piano and Alfredo Ferrario on clarinet explore fourteen songs by Irving Berlin through swing, lyricism and improvisation. The Irving Berlin Songbook features What'll I Do, Blue Skies, Always and God Bless America, placing the clarinet alongside a historic 1909 Steinway piano. Recorded live in the studio, the session also captures the acoustics of the nineteenth-century hall selected for the performance.
