Music, editions and recording details

Stick to Duke offers Selfie Jungle's unconventional tribute to Duke Ellington. Violin, cello, tuba, trombone and guitar revisit music by Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, alongside Charles Mingus's Duke Ellington's Sound of Love. The ten-track programme includes three medleys: these are individual tracks rather than separate selections. The unusual quintet instrumentation recasts orchestral jazz through a lively dialogue of strings, brass and guitar.
