Music, editions and recording details
Catch Me is a solo piano album by Francesco Pollon, combining original compositions, improvisations and interpretations of music by Sam Rivers and Jule Styne. The programme opens with Preghiera antica and includes 181 Years Later, a response to Chopin's Prelude No. 8, Op. 28, two improvisations and I Fall in Love Too Easily. Pollon explores melody, harmony and rhythmic freedom in a personal musical language, recorded in 2020 on a Steinway D274 concert grand.
