Music, editions and recording details
Rio After Dark was Brazilian singer and guitarist Ana Caram's Chesky Records debut in 1989. It combines bossa nova and jazz through sinuous melodies, syncopated rhythms and elegant acoustic arrangements.
Ana Caram's bossa nova
Antônio Carlos Jobim guests on piano on Meditation and Anos Dourados, while Paquito D'Rivera plays reeds on La Cumbia and O Que Vier Eu Traço. The LP edition contains eleven tracks, rather than the longer programme found on some other releases.
