Alessandro Bianchini - 10|5

Alessandro Bianchini places the vibraphone and marimba at the centre of a jazz trio shaped by interplay, composition and rhythmic freedom. With Marco Micheli on double bass and Simone Brilli on drums, he presents five original pieces and two jazz standards: Bronisław Kaper's Invitation and Chick Corea's Bud Powell.

The 10/5 project

The title track explores a groove heard in 5/4 or 10/16. Mud for Bud nods to the bebop language of Bud Powell and Charlie Parker; Grazie Armando is a tribute to Chick Corea, moving between vibraphone and marimba. Guest vocalist Beatrice Sberna appears on 10/5 and Alice.
